The Breakers Hotel is considered one of the most beautiful hotels in the United States. It is located in the heart of Palm Beach, Florida and is listed on the national historic register. It was founded in 1925 by Henry M. Flagler. The hotel is decorated so beautifully – especially during the holiday season. If you are ever in Palm Beach be sure not to miss this historic landmark!

This is one of the most beautiful courtyards in Palm Beach located at the landmark hotel – The Breakers Hotel. I love coming to this courtyard to eat and enjoy the majestic beauty and lovely scenery that surrounds it.

“Gondolier of Venice”Venice, Italy

When visiting Venice, taking a gondola ride under this famous Rialto Bridge, which is one of the oldest of the four bridges in the Grand Canal in Venice, is truly a must. This bridge was first built in 1173.

“Pool Le Sirenuse”Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy

Le Sirenuse is one of the most stunning five-star hotels in all of the Amalfi Coast in Italy. This is my painting of the hotel pool, which was featured in the famous movie, “Only You” with Marissa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. This pool has a lovely seaside view and adjoining terrace which is located atop this clifftop hotel. Be sure to stop here and have cappuccino or a glass of wine when visiting the Amalfi Coast.

“Under the Umbrella on the La Plage”Côte d’Azur, Cannes, France

The French Riviera, also known as the Côte d’Azur is one of the most beautiful beaches and coastal regions in the world. This is a picturesque beach that has many umbrellas where you can dine on the La Plage. This beach is located in Cannes, on the southern coast of France. Cannes is famous for hosting the annual international Cannes Film Festival.

“Road of Saint-Tropez”Côte d’Azur, Saint-Tropez, France

Saint-Tropez is a charming southern coastal town located on the French Riviera and is known for its cobble-stoned “La Ponche” quarter, a historic fishing village. This 2001 painting by Palma was her first entry ever into an art competition. It was selected and hung in the Coral Springs Museum of Art in Coral Springs, Florida.

“Narrow Walkway of Saint-Paul de Vence”Côte d’Azur, Saint-Paul de Vence, France

Saint-Paul de Vence is one of the loveliest of the perched villages you’ll ever find, not only in the south of France, but in the world. This narrow walkway in Saint-Paul de Vence is only about 4 feet wide and truly captured my attention, just like this adorable little village has done for many artists and art lovers since the 1920’s. Be sure not to miss this charming town when visiting the Côte d’Azur.

“Walkway in Taormina” – Taormina, Sicily, Italy

Taormina is a lovely hilltop town on the east coast of Sicily, which is an island located off the southern shores of Italy. From this town you can see the historic Mount Etna on a clear day. This town is noted for it’s Teatro Antico di Taormina, the ancient Greco-Roman theater which is still operational today. Palma visited this charming town during her 16-day Grand Tour of Italy and Sicily in 2007.

“St. Bonaventura al Palatino – Palatine Hill, Rome, Italy

Bonaventura al Palatino is a small 17th century church in Rome built on Via Marco Colidio the Palatine Hill. It is a Franciscan monastery church built by Francesco Barberini on the request of the Blessed Bonaventura Gran which was completed in 1689.

“Fountain In The Square”Côte d’Azur, Saint-Paul de Vence, France

This is a charming square located in Saint-Paul de Vence on the French Rivera. Famous Artists such as Chagall, Léger, Soutine, Braque, and many others visited this medieval town and painted beautiful scenes from their time there in the early 1900’s. Even today the town is still known for its many art museums and galleries.

“Approaching the Isle of Capri Shoreline”Bay of Naples, Capri, Italy

Off the shoreline of the Island of Capri is the main port, Marina Grande which is located at the foot of Mount Solaro. This shoreline cluster of colorful and vibrant homes was a dream built by the Swedish physician, Axel Munthe. It currently houses Capri’s fishermen, and is also the island’s largest beach.

“Sunrise on Coogee Beach”Coogee Beach, Sydney, Australia

Coogee Beach is connected to the Tasman Sea and Coogee Bay just off the coast of Sydney, Australia. It is very safe for swimmers and families party due to the Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club, the largest Patrolling Surf Club in Australia with 2,300 members. They swim every morning in the rock pools which are along the coast. A must see when visiting this area is the clifftop coastal walk, known as the The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk. This is a beautiful walk from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach that is so impressive and scenic, which is mixed with towering sandstone cliffs, crashing waves, surfers at every turn, and the majestic golden sand.

“Grasse’ Fragonard Perfume Factory” – Côte d’Azur, Grasse, France

Grasse is home to three famous perfumeries in the south of France, just 25 miles north of Nice. This painting is outside the famous perfumery, Fragonard Parfumeur. Be sure not to miss tours of these amazing perfumeries.

“Tower Hall Pallazzo Vecchio– Florence, Italy

Florence’s famous Tower in Pallazzo Vecchio housed the seat of the Signoria of the Florentine Republic in the 1300’s. It then served as the government centro of the Medici Grand Dukes of Tuscany, and then from 1865 to 1871 it housed the Chamber of Deputies of the Kingdom of Italy. Since 1872 it has served as it’s town hall.

“Road to San Tommaso– Abruzzo, San Tommaso, Italy

San Tommaso is a precious hilltop town in the Abruzzo region in central Italy, where my father was born and raised. I visited my Uncle Pantelone Morizio here, who was still living in the house that he and my father were both born and raised in. The church in this town, Chiesa San Tommaso, has a holy water basin which was donated and made by our family. It is also historically named after Thomas Becket in the early 13th century, not long after he had been murdered at the altar in Canterbury in 1170.

Looking at St. Peter’s Dome– Vatican City, Rome, Italy

This was the view of the famous dome of St. Peter’s Basilica located in Vatican City which I saw from the Vatican window when I visited Rome. I climbed the 491 steps to the very top of the dome. It is definitely worth the climb in order to see the breathtaking view of Rome as well as the majestic view of St. Peter’s Square.

The Covered Wagon– San Juan Capistrano, California, USA

This covered wagon is located near the Mission San Juan Capistrano. This Spanish mission is in Orange County, California. Founded by the Franciscan priests in 1776 this mission was named after Saint John of Capistrano.
